Aquilegia 'Dragonfly mix'
Aquilegia
Aquilegia is a perennial plant that can live for years, but is sometimes short-lived. It blooms in June and July and thrives best in partial shade in well-drained soil.
'Dragonfly' is a color mix in a wide color scale, similar to the old 'McKana's Giants' hybrids, but the plants are more compact and only 50 cm high.
Sowing time: January-February. Seeds need cold treatment to germinate well. The germination rate at room temperature is quite low. Seed is lightly covered and it is best to keep seed pots outside in a greenhouse or cold frame until spring. The seed then germinates when it gets warmer. If a greenhouse is not available, you can either keep the seed pots outside until spring and then bring them inside, or put the seeds in the refrigerator for 2-4 weeks.
